The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Former two-time unified title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
